An excellent opportunity has arisen with a London based carbon management consultancy and carbon software provider that deals primarily with international companies, FTSE 100/250 businesses and public sector clients.
This role is a chance for a passionate, qualified individual, to bring their experience and knowledge to the role of Carbon Analyst. The successful individual will be a bright, inquiring person, who is interested in gaining an overview of carbon management and a greater in-depth knowledge of carbon conversion factors, calculations and their role in reducing CO2 in businesses, as well as carbon markets.
With great opportunities for development, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into the role before moving into a client facing carbon consultant position in the future.
You will take responsibility for;
- Gathering carbon emission data and uploading it into a specialist carbon software, - Conducting high level statistical and business analysis of clients' carbon calculations. - Work with Carbon Consultants to develop clients' carbon reduction strategies. - Monitor national and international carbon measurement standards and protocols.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- A passion for climate change and carbon management - in particular the impact of these on commerce and government. - A highly numerate capability with great attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to research and source information from a multitude of areas. - An ability to problem solve effectively, generate ideas and solutions. - A strong team working ethic with a willingness to provide proactive support to team members. - Strong communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills. - Ideally a knowledge of climate change policy, along with legislative, market and voluntary market developments.
Further more you should possess a strong graduate level degree in science, engineering or management (at least 2:1 and solid excel or database experience essential.
Masters degree or equivalent professional experience in environmental science, engineering or management preferred.
