Our client, based in Derby, is part of a global Energy and Environmental Systems Group and provides engineered boiler solutions, including low Nox burners, boiler control systems and plant upgrades, for utility and industrial boilers.
Working as part of a multi-disciplined team of engineers and predominantly based in Derby, the successful candidate will:- Have a thorough knowledge of materials handling systems for solid fuels including Biomass. Have a good knowledge of the control philosophy. Be familiar with fuel processing equipment, eg drying, screening and crushers.Have a good understanding of installation and operational issues.Be a professional engineer, educated to degree level or equivalent. Be familiar with DSEAR and ATEX equipment Directives. Preferably (but not essentially) have extensive experience in a materials handling environment. Be a hands-on engineer capable of developing bespoke handling and processing solutions to client`s specific requirements. Preferably have a clean driving licence as some travel in the UK and overseas will be required. Have good written and verbal communication skills.B e able to work unsupervised and also make a major contribution to the success of the project teams.
The post will be based in Derby, although as the company`s work involves projects in the UK and overseas. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake site visits both in the UK and overseas in order to gather further information relevant to their design activities.
