Mechanical: -Use knowledge of Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Material Science to design and analyze fossil fuel power plant systems -Develop plant heat balances to determine overall process and equipment requirements -Perform calculations to determine size and quantity of mechanical equipment that will be required for plant operation such as steam turbines, boilers, pumps, condensers, piping, valving, etc. -Prepare and review piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) -Collaborate with other disciplines to determine equipment arrangements and layout
Ideal candidates will have experience working on large coal fired plants, combined cycle plants, fossil experience. Cradle to grave experience is preferred. 15 years experience preferred.
