Principal Carbon Policy Specialist, Renewable Energy

Our global client provides engineering consultancy services to a range of clients from large utilities to small project developers, across a variety of disciplines worldwide.
Our client is looking to appoint a Carbon Policy specialist to be a key player in their growing carbon team.
•You will advise lenders, developers, government regulators, carbon funds and carbon investors. •Take a leading role in carbon management, strategic studies, policy and carbon foot-printing with an emphasis on the UK and Europe. •Expand an existing climate change mitigation business, taking an active role in business development of the carbon business winning deliverable opportunities •Resolve issues affected by climate change, associated policies and market drivers. •Act as Project Manager or Project Director on climate change policy and strategy activities.
Candidate Profile
•Experience required in leading projects with diverse teams. •Played a senior/principal role in policy and strategy assignments relating to energy including renewables. •Essential Experience with policy, regulation, carbon, climate change and renewables, understanding of energy process also valuable. •Candidates should have a strong understanding of regulations and markets. •Experience in advising clients on matters relating to carbon foot-printing, carbon evaluations and lifecycles and understanding the impact on carbon management and strategy. •European languages are valuable.
