Working for one of the largest operators of Energy from Waste our client owns and operates plants worldwide, processing over 14 million tonnes of waste each year. This is an exciting opportunity due to a new proposed energy from waste plant and they are now looking to bring on a Project Engineer. This person will report into the board and will be responsible for all aspects of the project from the inital design stage through to completion. They will grow and manage a team of contractors on site and will be involved with everything from design and development , preparing technical specifications and contracts, to bid support. They will also be looking at the cost management of the project and ensuring that all health and safety proceedures are followed.
Candidates will ideally have a background in waste to energy projects, they will be engineering qualified and have experience within power generation managing a team of contractors. The role will involve travel from the office base to the plant site which they are working on.
