My client is a well respected nuclear company with offices based at Risley, Warrington.
Due to an increase in projects they now require a knowledgeable Quality Management professional to coordinate the maintenance and improvement of the Quality aspects, ensuring that they consistently deliver their promises to our customers.

Duties will include
Ensuring that ISO 9001 requirements are met. Responsible for local aspects of ISO 9001 certification and organisational interface with LRQA at designated sites. Acting as the focal point for QA queries. May work on local QA tasks (e.g. independent review) in specific areas as requested by Business Area Managers. Review, update and maintenance of any elements of the management system. This may include local procedures, work instructions and forms addressing aspects of managing the business that are specific to the Business Group. It may also include review of QA Programmes within the Group Participation in the TAS internal audit programme, working both inside and outside the /home/Business Group to provide cross-fertilisation of ideas across groups and sites. Local management of LRQA audits for the site(s) concerned and implementation of local actions to address issues raised against the Business Group. Supporting the Operations Manager in managing continuous improvement initiatives within the Business Group Participating in Management System reviews as required Participation in local quality activities including design reviews, post project reviews, management of change control and configuration management processes, non-conformance management and product review To provide advice on QA matters to staff working on MoD Projects To conduct audits of working practices and implementation of quality processes relating to work on MoD Projects To provide technical audit services in support of MoD activities at their headquarters and operational sites. To provide consultancy in Quality management and business processes to customers in MoD. To provide support (via safety management consultancy and auditing) to regulatory authorities.
In order to be shortlisted for this job candidates must hold a relevant qualification and have practical experience of quality management including audits, inspections and ISO9001. Candidates must also have experience within a highly regulated industry ( Oil & Gas, pharmaceutical etc), nuclear experience would also be very advantageous.
